Yes I know I keep promising to blog more, but what can I say, its hard work growing a bubba!!!

Firstly on the scrapping front, I have finally been scrapping again, but its all been for my brothers wedding album, so trying to keep it a bit of a secret in case he can be bothered checking here!!!

There is a cybercrop starting tonight though at ScrapTherapy, with the theme of dreams. it all kicks off with the blind scrap at 7. Hope to see you all there.

On the bubba side, no movements yet, but the belly is growing. We had the big 18 week scan on Tuesday which showed all is well and that we are having a little man!!! Needless to say we are both over the moon (well I admit, I didn't care either way, so would be thrilled regardless!!). Next step is painting the nursery (purple and red :) ) And the furniture (cream). Also just for those who love checking out ultrasound piccys, I have one step better, the video :):). Hmm will need to figure it out though. I'll add it when I can, otherwise I'll try for some stills!

But for a very good reason

This is the latest addition to our little family :) I'm currently 15.4 days and going quite nicely. No sickness just tiredness which has been great.

I've also bitten the bullet and joined tupperware as a demonstrator and am enjoying playing with all the fabulous product.

Unfortunately between this and work there hasn't been much scrapping from me lately. I have managed to finish knitting all the squares for my blanket now and should have it sewn up very soon!!

Busy scrapping Day

Had an awesome day yesterday!!! Monica, Cath and Belinda came over for a fabulous day of scrapping and sewing. I even managed to get 5 layouts done :).

This first one was for the April Kraft it up challenge. The challenge was to use kraft plus a monochromatic layout, that wasn't brown.
This next one was the April sketch challenge at Scrap Therapy. I got to use the new October afternoon papers, which only landed on the weekend.This was for the Colour challenge, also at Scrap Therapy. It also uses the new October Afternoon papers, which are perfect for this challenge as it needed woodgrain paper.
THe Scrap Therapy journalling challenge was to journal about a change in your life, so I did my wedding to my gorgeous husband Rex.
Finally the technique challenge was to use Dimensional Magic. It is a fantastic product to add shine and dimension to thickers and patterned paper.

Finally The Scrap Therapy Cybercrop starts tonight!!! Blind scrap tonight with Helen, you have a choice of a layout or car, or if your keen both! Challenges also go up tonight :)

Rex's 30th and my new study :)

What a great weekend. We headed over to Griffith to attend a wedding of our friend's Mark and Tegan. Mark, otherwise known as Horse almost married Rex at our wedding (see the wedding posts for more details) so it was only fitting that Rex was one of the groomsmen.

This was the bridal car! Absolutely stunning in real life.
Our very talented friend Cathy Wall provided the music for both the ceremony and reception. If you need a singer in Wagga or surrounds, she's your gal!!!

And not to mention the handsome groomsmen.

Finally this was for the Scrap Therapy cybercrop which finishes midnight tonight. This was for the sketch challnge, and also to create a green monochromatic layout. Even though the cybercrop has finished, there is still plenty of time to enter the monthly challenges!!

But this will be the second update in two days! I realised I missed some very important photos of my scrap room. First we have my ribbon storage. I got the idea from Mandy, an incrediably talented lady I met through Scrap Therapy. I have no where near as many ribbons as she does, but maybe with them all on show, I'll be able to add to it a bit better.
This is my favourite bit of my room, the wardrobe. I discovered a way to hang all my thickers, and eventually rubbons and transperencies from the clothes rail. To think, Rex wanted to put coats in here!!

Finally, I finished this challenge for Scrap Therapy's March journalling challenge. The challenge was to journal around the outside edges of your page, which I love to do. Seriously, if you haven't already, you should check out the challenges there, the DT is amazing!!

Been a very bad blogger

Yeah yeah yeah, I know I promised to blog more, but hey it will happen when it happens. Just a word of warning there are going to be stacks of photos today, so it may take awhile to load. This first LO is the first in the new house, and the first since December. So long with no scrapping. It was for the Februrary colour challenge over at Scrap Therapy. I was so happy with it, it came 3rd in the challenge.

Finally I recieved some awesome scrappy news tonight! When Lee-Anne over at Scrap Therapy had advertised for a new DT, I had really wanted to try, but knew this year I would be too crazy busy teaching and possibly pregnant, so didn't try. Anyway, the next best thing has come up. She's asked myself and three other lovely ladies if we would be the big sisters on the site. Basically, we get to chat, welcome newbies and do the occassional guest DT job!! To say I was thrilled was a slight understatement. Now if you'll excuse me, I have some serious chatting and scrapping to do.......

Not a long one, but very overdue

Well its been ages since I posted, I'm in the new house now which is lovely.

I've agonized over what to post, and what not to post for a couple of weeks now, but finally feel up to writing this. In fact, I think that it might make me feel a bit better.

Just before we left Cobar we got some awesome news, we were pregnant. For those who were wondering, thats why I didn't follow through with the psych position I applied for. Teaching made much more sense at the time. We told our families as Christmas, altough we weren't sure what was going on as I started bleeding a little on the 23rd and had to rush to Dubbo for a scan. Nothing major showed and we booked another scan for when we were in Griffith seeing Rex's family.

Unfortunately the next scan wasn't so good, but not conclusive, so a third scan was booked once we got to Wagga. This was the final straw. No growth and no baby. Seeing the doctor, I basically had to wait it out. Waiting was the hardest thing I've ever done. Not knowing what was going to happen. Not knowing why it went wrong. Worst of all though was the secrecy around miscarriage.

Dispite so many women saying, 'yeah I've had one' there was very little discussion, even on the net, and lets face it, everything is on the internet. I find it hard to understand the secrecy. It is not something women need to be ashamed of, its not our fault. It was hard, and to then be told by a family member, oh well we went through it, it doesn't really matter, really hurt. Its really not to our credit we hide miscarriage,I mean when I'm having a crappy day because a receptionist demanded to know why I cancelled my obstetrician appointment, or because everyone in the supermarket looks pregnant, why can't I just tell people its because I had a recent miscarriage.

Anyway, maybe no one will read this, but if people do, don't feel the need to hide miscarriage, it can be helpful for others to see the happy endings. I'm yet to have mine, but I'm sure one day, hopefully soon, we will have our child.

New Year, New House

Yes I'm still around, just been very busy. There has been alot happening, starting with me getting my transfer to Wagga. I will be teaching, which initially terrified me, but as I start programming, I'm starting to develop some ideas that I would love to try, if not this year, in the coming couple of years. Its a bit sad, putting psychology on hold, but it is best for us, and allows us to move to Wagga with no problems.

Speaking of moving, it is happenign in a couple of weeks!! I can't wait to finally be in our house, but a bit scared by all the space, I mean I get my own study :)

Other than that not much has happened. We spent a very relaxing couple of days in Cowra for Christmas, and am heading off soon to Griffith to have Christmas with Rex's parents. Hopefully this will be start of more posts again as I get more organised, but who really knows :)

Online Scrapping class

This year I've decided to do an online class by Jessica Sprague which is all about looking Christmas. So I've decided that even if I don't get it all scraped straight away, I can at least record it here on the blog.

The first assignment is about wriitng down your values and goals with Christmas, and I guess this got me thinking. What do I value about Christmas??

I guess for me, its spending time with family. I've really missed it the last few years, as its been 3 years since I spent Christmas day with my family, so this year, even if I have to move heaven and earth, I will be seeing my family on Christmas day.

Another this for me is remembering why we celebrate Christmas and remembering the birth of Jesus and all that he did for us. I don't talk much about my beliefs, but it is important to me. It is way too easy to get caught up with the end of year rush with parties and travelling and forget what its all really about. So my aim for December is to spend even just 5- 10 minutes a day reflecting and reading the bible.

Assignment 2 and 3 are simpler - make time for myself to do this class each day, its times like this that I'm glad we don't have kids!! Makes things much simpler. 3 is to get organised for Christmas, which is done!! I know what we are getting people and we are going to Nan and Pops, so I don't even have to plan!!

Hopefully I will update as the class progresses!!

First some sady news, Ant over at Sketches to Inspire has had to close the blog as she is almost ready to have a baby!! So we are very sad, but at the same time anxiously waiting for the news! Anyway as I had already finished the next couple of sketches, I can now share them here.

This is the first LO I've finished from the wedding for the Scrap Therapy Cybercrop which is on right now!! This is for the sketch challenge and even Rex loved it, which was saying something!!

Honeymoon

Wow, you’ve made it and I promise this will be the last post!!
After spending 2 nights in Griffith and celebrating my Grandparents 50th wedding anniversary we heading off to Sydney for a couple of days of relaxation before we jetted off overseas. We had a pretty eventful trip, with a freak hail storm outside of Yass sending cars spinning around us. It was terrifying, with me just begging Rex to get us off the road, but we managed to get through the crash unscathed. Once in Sydney, we visited Taronga Park Zoo, which included a trip on the sky safari (impressive for me as I’m terrified of heights. We did agree however that Western Plains Zoo in Dubbo was much better as its an open range zoo and the animals have a lot more room to move around in.
On Wednesday morning we got up very early (4am) to get ready to catch our flight. Mum’s partner Rod was so kind to drop us off at the International Airport, where we thought we flew out of. But no, it was actually the domestic terminal and after finding a lovely lady who worked for Toll and confirmed this for us, we raced to grab a taxi to the domestic terminal. Flying over was uneventful and by the middle of the afternoon we arrived in Port Vila, whose airport was like nothing we had ever seen. It wasn’t that much bigger than the Dubbo airport, however it was the international airport!! We got a transfer to the resort, where on the way, the tour guide explained some of the differences we might notice, particularly the lack of road rules, yes lack! There were no speed limits, you could drink and drive and over the week we decided that stop and give way were optional. Everywhere you would see people riding in the back of utes and general road craziness. What did strike as though was the friendliness off all the people we meet, and the courtesy shown. Everywhere you looked people were smiling and having fun.
The resort was beautiful and we were lucky enough to have a fare overlooking the harbour and right on the water’s edge. At high tide we could feed the fish from the balcony, and even saw a sea snake swim past. We spent many happy hours getting drunk and meeting other couples who had also gotten married on the weekend. It was overcast during most of the trip only clearing up as we left, but we still managed to check out the swim up bar. At one of the happy hours Rex won a raffle which gave us a discount on a jet boat tour, so the next day, that’s exactly what we did. It was a great way to check out the harbour and some of the other coves. While we were there, we also when on a dune buggy tour which was great fun but very dirty and a reef explorer which was a great way to see what was below the water. We passed on snorkelling as it was just too cold to do a lot a swimming. Finally we visited the Mele Cascades, which is a definite to go and visit. We just caught a local bus, and it worked out almost half the price of the tour and we could stay as long as we liked.
Our big adventure was on the Thursday, so our first full day there. We had decided to go into Vila and get our bearings. We noticed all the locals walking up some of the hills, but didn’t think anything off it until an Aussie walked past and asked if we had heard about the Tsunami warning. We decided to head back to the island and find out what was happening. Waiting for the ferry, it took forever (usually only took 10 minutes) before we were told about the Tsunami and that the ferry wasn’t coming. At that we decided to do as the locals were and followed them up the side of the hill. We met up with another couple from Iririki and proceeded to head up, stopping only for water and Shapes. We followed until we found where all the locals were waiting and decided it must be okay. It was nerve-racking the waiting, as we could see the ocean from where we were sitting. Some of the locals had a radio which they could hear updates, the only problem being that it was all in French so all we could understand was that is was highly important we stay up high. Eventually the warning was lifted and a local minister came and told us it was declared safe.

Weddings .... Take 3

Okay, good on you for hanging in this long, I really do admire you. I’m actually in Griffith now, while Rex goes hunting for the Lonely Planet CD at Sanity. Those songs will definitely stick with us for awhile (Thanks Greg and Kylie).

Okay so we arrived at the reception a little late, but hey we were allowed. After a not so quick toilet break (silly big dress), we were ushered in as Mr and Mrs Rex Hunt! And then the fun began. The food was absolutely delicious, the alcohol flowed and the speeches were great. Rex was really moved by the speeches, with all saying how fantastic a guy he is. Our speech didn’t go so well, we were both going to burst into tears so cut it really short. The cake completely lived up to expectations, and I’m happy to say there will be more served at our housewarming next year! Then came the bridal shuffle, sung by the newly married Cathy Wright (see the first wedding post!) The song was Brighter than Sunshine and was just gorgeous to dance to. Unfortunately my biggest gripe of the whole wedding was the music though. The DJ thought playing old country music which no one was dancing too was a great idea. No offence to anyone who loves Charlie Pride etc, but I listened to it for 4 years while working at Price Busters and it really wasn’t what I wanted at my wedding. The party didn’t pick up until right at the end when he started playing the Aussie pub rock songs which was awesome! Somewhere in the middle we had the Garter toss, which Horse caught, and the bouquet toss, which Monique, my Maid of Honour caught. Other highlights included seeing Rex’s niece Tahlia playing with my nephew Thomas and watching Rex’s Cousin John playing with a balloon sward.

Finally we said goodbye to all and headed back to our undisclosed Honeymoon suite for some relaxing. One final story form there and no, its not rude! Rex volunteered to run the spa while we were getting all the bobby pins out of my hair. What I didn’t know was that Rex had never run a spa though. He walked into the bathroom to check on the level and came straight out, soaking wet with a look of horror on his face. He had turned the jets on straight away without filling the spa, and as a result water was EVERYWHERE!!! He was also so convinced that it was on a timer and wouldn’t try to turn it off for fear it would continue longer. This was one of the few moments I regretted not having a camera as the look on his face was absolutely priceless!! Anyway long story short, there was no time and I managed to turn off the spa quite easily despite Rex telling me not to touch the button!! He is now no longer allowed near spa baths unless supervised 

Weddings...... Take 2

Our wedding.... wow what a week and it still hasn’t sunk in yet. We spent the first half of the week organising all the little stuff, confirming things, then slowly seeing all Rex’s relo’s as they rolled into town. I managed a full day of pampering which highly recommend to any brides to be. Mine was Thursday, and meant that by Friday I was so chilled out, not much fazed me. Mum cam e done Thursday so that afternoon we got facials and pedicures, and my toes are still an awesomely bright purple. The beautician was so excited to have a bride that didn’t want a neutral colour, it was funny!!
Friday morning I got my nails redone in sparkles, mum got her manicure and then the fun began. I checked us girls into the apartment and chilled out a bit while waiting for the girls to arrive. Once they got there we arrived at the church (late of course) and had the rehearsal. It wasn’t too technical; we were all too busy playing with Tahlia. Apparently she love cardboard box rides!! From here all volunteers came out to the Catholic Club where we put the chair covers ant place cards out. It was fantastic to see it all starting to come together and even without the table decorations it looked fantastic! Even better it only took about an hour because everyone chipped in. From here Kylie, Monique Greg and I ditched everyone else and went and got pizzas to eat while watching movies and eating chocolate. Greg was stolen by Rex for quite awhile and they hung out at Rex’s parents until Rex though he should possibly get some sleep. I wasn’t too worried, they spent the night looking up Lonely planet clips on YouTube (check them out very funny) and spent the rest of the wedding saying I’m on a boat and Like a boss (You’ll need to look them up to see what I mean).
Saturday. D-day. I woke up too early, stressing a bit about what would go wrong. We got up and wondered around to Mei Amici’s for breakfast (my favourite cafe in Griffith) then the girls and I made our way up to the hairdressers where drank champagne whilst our hair was done. I was so thrilled with the results, my hairdresser was absolutely ¬¬¬fantastic and I would highly recommend them to everyone!! From here, we went up to get the makeup done. During all this, it still didn’t feel real. I was waiting for the moment to hit when I would realise this was it, but it didn’t. Makeup went really well, and again it looked fantastic. At this stage we were running on time, so we went back to the apartment for lunch before we would get dressed and meet with the photographers. Getting dressed was a a bit of the ordeal, we tore my dress slightly, but the girls thought I wasn’t aware so just tried to hide it. I told them later in the night and they were amazed I didn’t say anything, but I just couldn’t see the point in stressing about it. Then the people started rolling in. Jason and Erin bought Tahlia over and the divers showed up, admittedly without the flowers (I had silk and we kept leaving them in the car with the boys.) Photos were taken and we were off. Pop never stopped grinning, so guess he was happy to walk me down the isle, or I looked pretty good. From here we went out to Lake Wyangan and again, lucked oout with the rain. It just started to drizzle as we were finishing up and having a drink and nibbles before we headed towards the reception......

Weddings Galore

Ok, before I start, I’ll split this into a couple of parts, otherwise it will be huge. Also I’ll put the majority of photos onto facebook, otherwise this page will never load (I have over a thousand from our wedding alone and that just from Shell and Matt!!!) We’ve been away almost 3 weeks now with some major events so I’ll start at the beginning and hopefully won’t forget to much. Please forgive me if you do, we didn’t get into Sydney until 10:30 last night and we are still driving, heading towards Harden to be exact.

Our first stop after leaving the animals in Griffith with Rex’s parents was to go to Wagga to see our beautiful friends, Jon and Cath married. It was a horrible day, we had had some big storm leading up to it and it was raining and hailing that morning. Rex was a groomsman, so spent Saturday morning doing very little besides keep Jon calm!! I tried to help Cath out, running errands and checking on the reception. Before long it was time for the ceremony, and we were all praying that the rain would clear, which it did. The ceremony was absolutely beautiful, with a full choir singing. I managed not to cry, until they played Michael Buble’s song Everything at the end. It hit me that i n a week, it would me dressed up and walking into the church to that very song. The reception again was beautiful, with gorgeous food and some awesome music. Jon and Cath sang to each other (of course), Cath’s sister Rebecca and another lady, whose name escapes me, as well as the entire Who’s your Daddy band (well minus Cath) entertained us and kept us dancing till the end. Just a quick update, it feels like the days are flying along now, I mean its only 6 more work days!!!!
These are some digi pages for the challenges over at Pickleberry Pop. The first was for the theme challenge, which is all about love. I know I must love this photo, cause I've scrapped it about 4 times now!!
This one was for the scraplift challenge. My favourite bit is the fact I now know how to do a magic extraction and remove the background, so yay for me!!!

Well its been flat out. I've been to Dubbo, Orange, Griffith,Wagga and Bourke in the last 23 weeks and I am OVER it!!!! Caths hen's night was awesome, I even got up and sang if your happy and you know it (II know, its sad, but I was following a group of professional singers). We got 90% of the planning for the wedding organising now which is fantastic.

BUT this week has been shocking. Travelling back from Bourke I hit an emu in the hire car, I'm glad to say the emu was okay, he got up and ran away whilst I sat in the car shaking. Sunny, the vicious Jack Russell that she is then decided to attack a black lab (cause that was going to work), she is okay but I'm scratched. Then today was just a right off, absolutlely flat out and not in a good way. I'm just sooo glad the week is over and its only 4 weeks before Rex and I get a really good holiday, oh and get married!!! Only 29 days till I'm Mrs Hunt :)

Cybercrop time!!!!

Well It was that time of the month again, cybercrop time over at Scrap Therapy. I managed to complete all the challenges as well as win Bingo with Bongo :D On top of all that Lee-Anne is decided this months manufacturer of the month is Prima (Just about my favourite brand!!!). So everything is between 10-50% which is a massive savings. And just to top it all off, theres more due the end of this week we hope :)

Finally this was the theme challenge, a bit of a different interpretation on angel :)

Anyways, I meant to be working but am waiting for Rex to bring the laptop down so I can access my files. Silly work has old computers which doesn't mesh well with my new one. Also its under 2 months to the wedding!!!!! Won't be long now till I'm Mrs Hunt :):)

Digi Scrapping tutorial – Very basic

Basic Digital Scrapping tutorial based on Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0

Go to http://www.kaisercraft.net/digital-scrapbooking and download the entire Tag This kit (its a freebie!) We won't be using the lot, but will give you more to play with.
Open up your graphics program (I'm using Photoshop Elements 5.0, but this should be able to be done in other programs. GIMP is a good free one if you don't have one.)
Go to Editor. You will want to open a new file which is 12x 12 inches, with 300 dpi's.
To make it easier, I opened up all the files I would need, including photos. This is similar to getting all your supplies before starting a paper page. You can go back and look for the perfect embellishment later. For this page you will need to open up the following files, and just have them minimised
1. Tag this paper 4b
2. Tag this paper 4a
3. Spray paint
4. Messy dot
5. Boyz header
6. Plus the perfect boy photo

5. With both your new file and tag this paper 4 b maximised, drag, using the move tool, the paper into your new file. This should create a new layer. Adjust if needed by dragging the corners until you are happy with the placement.

NOTE: Layers are VERY important. They allow you to manipulate separate elements, without disrupting the entire layout.

6. Repeat with Tag this paper 4a. This should cover the other paper completely. Once it cover you need to go to the layers toolbox and change the opacity setting. I have changed mine to 24%, however have a play and see where you are happy. I have left the mode as normal, btu again, have a play, it can cause some really cool effects.

At this point I dragged and dropped the photo, messy dot, spray paint and heading to where I felt happy.
And Viola, you are done! If you save you file as a psd you can continue to change the layers at a later date. If your happy with it however you can save it as a jpeg as you would any other photo. This makes a smaller file, but makes it incredibly hard to edit later on.

Can I just say I have the biggest ratbag of a cat. Every morning this week she has woken me up by tearing around the house, including onto the bed like a mad cat! Not appreciated when on holidays :S

On far more important news, Rex and I had our bucks/hensnights last weekend. Rex had a simple BBQ/piss up at a mates place, while I met al the girls in Canberra.

Before I say to much, I want everyone to know that I have THE most awesome bridesmaids!!!

We stayed in a very fancy apartment in the city where we caught up with everyone, (including Aly and Thomas :)) We were very lucky as the girls hired a mini bus and Greg, Kylies husband chauffeured us around. We started by driving up black mountain, where i was crowned and had to complete a quiz about Rex to see how many challenges I would need to complete. I got some right, some wrong.

From here we went to a teppinyaki bar in Manuka which was great fun. Most of us caught most of the food (well except for Hathor :D). I can't wait to go again with Rex.
Then we travelled into the city to go to a cocktail bar, the Muddle bar and then round to the Uni bar for some dancing and more drinks. It was fantastic, I've never had so many guys come up to me.

Cyvercrop weekend

Well I had a busy weekend, it was cybercrop time at Scrap Therapy. For a change, I acually managed to complete all the challenges. This first one was for the Inspiration challenge from which I took the colours.

THis was for the theme challenge - to be very girly. I hope Phil likes this, its for his album.
This was for the Sketch challenge, again a gorgeous pic of phil and Sal.
Finally this was for the months sketch challenge at therapy. Thomas is soooo easy to scrap!!!
In other news.... I finally am graduating!! I've finished my Masters in Education :) so thankfully will have more time up my sleeve inthe lead up to the wedding.

I've also won the early bird prize over at Puzzle Sketches. So shopping here we come!1 I'm hoping to get a couple of pages done today, then I'm off for my hens night :) Hopefully I'll have some photos to share once I get back.

Bit of a share

Just a quick update. Things have been absolutely flat out with an 11 week term, trips to Tamworth for Weight Watchers, the usual scouting camps and somewhere in there I'm still planning the wedding. I haven't been scrapping much, but here is my entry for Challenge 4 of the Make Believe masters at Scrap Therapy. It was a mystry challenge so I made a hanger of my gorgeous nephew.

This is for the July Puzzle Sketches. I always love using these challenges!

Been sick, but busy

Well I ended up with my asthma playing up, which made doing anything hard (its amazing how important breathing is!). But I've been able to do plenty of scrapping.

This was for Puzzle Sketches. I always love how everyones LO's look so different even using the same pieces.

This next LO was for Round three of the Make Believe Masters over at Scrap Therapy. Not only for they have these awesome challenges, but for June only, they have 20% off ALL alphabets!!!! Even Thickers!!!!!! Gotta hurry though, we are trying to buythe shop.

Finally this LO I do for the 10x10 challenge over at Pickleberrypop. Its great to get into the digi stuff, heaps less mess and heaps cheaper!!

This week I'm off to Orange for training and get to catch up with Mum (YAY!!) Very important bisness will be happening, we are doing the alterations for my wedding dress and buying the clothes for my hens. (Would you believe I have no purple at all!! Its a disgrace). I'm also catching up with the awesome Amanda, who I don't see anywhere near enough these days. I am terrified of the cold though, I'm no longer used to temperatures with a minus sign in front of them!!

One final this which I keep forgetting (don't know how though) is I finally finished uni!!! (AGAIN). And no, I am not going back for a very long time!!!!

I'm sick at home today, so though it was about time I updated my blog!

A new fortnight is upon us and a new sketch is up at Pinkalicious Sketches! This is my take on the challenge. I love this Prima paper, it beautiful and glittery in real life.
Scrap Therapy has had some huge announcements with a new design team being announced. I can't wait to see what they come up with.

Well, a little bit of exciting news in my world...even though my husband Dean being made redundant he’s certainly not moping around! As well as throwing himself in to job hunting he’s finally taken the leap and set up his own photo editing business. It’s all official with a registered business name an domain – how cool!!!

The name of the business is “The Photo Fixer”, and the website is www.thephotofixer.com.au – and as the name says, he fixes photos – working with either digital photos, printed photos or even negatives. You name it, he can do it!Dean can restore those old photos you have in the box at the back of the cupboard to make them look like new, restoring colours, rips and cracks. But that’s only the beginning! As scrapbookers we all know how elusive “the perfect photo” can be, but it doesn’t have to come straight out of the camera – there are so many cool things that can be done post-photography to get great results. Possibilities include teeth whitening, skin touch ups, removal of unwanted backgrounds or details, additional of details from another image, the list goes on!

I'm so sick of travelling! Last weekend I had 3 nights at the Mt Boppy Scout camp with the Scouts. It went well, a few hiccups but nothing major.

Since then I came to Dubbo for training on Tuesday, spent Wednesday with Aly and Thomas in Parkes (he is soooooooo cute!!!) and came back to Dubbo to see the dentist today and DGO meeting tomorrow. I'm then back here on Sunday for poker. I think I'm going to just move here :(

I'm looking forward to Saturday. Not only will I be at home but its cybercrop time at Scrap Therapy . I'm setting the card challenge, so come over in the morning and see what the challenges are.

Forgive my slackness but its been flat out here! I've had some fantastic news over the last couple of weeks. On my way out the door to Cairns, I found out I had won a Guest design team slot at the Out of the hat scrap challenge blog! Here is my LO.
The criteria was masking, scrap paper and different fibres.

Well thats most of them, I do have another LO but I can't share that just yet. I'm also working on a sample cause I'm a Guest DT at Scrap Therapy for June. Sadly the girls have all decided to step down, and in the meantime, we are stepping in until another DT start. Its been fantastic learning from Mandy, Julie, PT and Narelle, and even better meeting most of them at the retreat. Just about everything scrap wise I've learnt from them, and I will now willingly journal in my own handwriting, distress, stamp and just generally enjoy myself. Thanks girls, we will miss you!

Flying away

Sorry i've been slack, but you get that sometimes. This will only be short since I'm not at home. Rex and I have been busily planning the wedding, and have most of the big stuff out of the way.

I'm currently sitting at Sydney airport waiting from one of the girls from Scrap Therapy, PT, so we can fly to Cairns for the retreat!! I promise I'll update with lots of photos when I get back.

Lastly I got some awesome news this morning!!! At the Out of the hat scrap challenge blog, I won the DT's pick which not only means I won a voucher, but also I will be a guest designer for this month!!!! This is huge cause its secretly something that I've wanted to try, but now I'm so nervous that it won't be good enough. Hopefully this weekend will help me create something cool!!

Its Holidays!!!!

Happy Easter!! I hope your all having a very relaxing time. We've been busy with work and Scouts. For work I've been traveling a bit for traini9ng and meeting and am finally glad to be home. We also had our first scout hike and camp and I was sooooooo impressed with the kids. For the most part, they were helpful and did as they were asked with no complaining. For a change, I' actually looking forward to the next activities :) Its taken awhile, but we are finally there.

Scrapping wise, I had lost my mojo, but its back now in full swing.

This was for the April puzzle sketches, to use paint, 9 squares, a star and arrow.

There were for the monthly challenges over at nuts 4 digi. Not bad since I haven't done digi for quite a while!

This was for the manufacturer of the month challenge at Scrap Therapy using Bella. Its to go in Phil's album if I ever get the rest of the photos :)

This was a class at Scrap Therapy run by Mandy using Daisy D papers. I love it!! even if it took ages to cut :)

What a week... and a bit

Well as most of the world knows, I left poor Rex at home last weekend, while I travelled to Sydney with Mum for a very important purpose. On Saturday, Mum, Sal, Monique, me and eventually Shell met up at Bridal Secrets in Parramatta to pick up my wedding dress!!!!! I was nervous, I've heard of so many people not liking their dress second time round. Thankfully I still love it and its now sitting safely at Mum's until I need to get the bustle put it :). We also managed to find a Bridesmaid dress that Monique loved so the girls are currently organising those.

Monday was my birthday, which was a bit lousy. I spent the day running around after others, rather than scrapping which is what I wanted. Oh well. Tuesday Wednesday were off to Bourke, nothing odd there.

Thursday was a really crap day. Without going into too much detail, since I don't know who reads this, we had a serious incident with a child I've been working with for quite awhile. He was hospitalised, which gave me some relief, however was released on Friday, with only me in town to support him. Needless to say, I've jumped a mile everytime the phone rang, thinking it would be bad news.

To really add to the week, the Scouts were dreadful on Friday. We ended the night in silence, which I personally hate, but I needed the time out.

This weekend has been pretty boring, except both the animals have been playing up, maybe its the full moon. Josie has been scratching everything in sight and Sunny ran away again today. That and with hearing of lots of job losses and meetings being closed in Weight Watchers, its been horrible. Hopefully this next week will be much better, if nothing else I have a date with Rex organised for Saturday to look forward to!!

Busy week

Well not much interesting to note, except the contracts have been exchanged on the house!!! It will be ours on the 19th March. I can't wait!!
Also I'm picking up my wedding dress this weekend as well as catching up with by Bestie, so it will be great. And finally, we got out of weight watchers by 8;30, which is a first so I'm thrilled!!

I haven't done much scrapping, this LO of Mum is for the Black with 2 March challenge.

This was for the Scrap Therapy, February monthly challenge.

Something old Something new

Well I've been a very busy bee today. I've washed, cleaned , grocery shopped, went to church, ironed, prepared for weight watchers, scrapped and made jewellery!! Now I'm tired just thinking about that list!! I do still need to get some stuff ready for scouts, but hey, not bad for a days effort.

This LO, I did for the Black with 2 challenge blog. This was their first challenge, and I can see myself trying a few more!!

These I just had the urge to make some earrings, after using the beads on the LO and spilling a heap down behind the desk. I'd love to be able to sell some jewellery, but I don't like my chances.

Anyway I still need to put away the clothes and organise some lunch for tomorrow. Please leave some love, I feel like I've writing to myself most of the time!!!!!

Busy and sore

Well, we've been busy the last couple of days. In addition to the LO's I've done for the bushfire victims, I've finished two of the monthly challenges for Scrap Therapy. This first one was for the manufacturer of the month, which this month is Basic Grey. There's 20% of it all this month, so buy up!!!

This next one was for the sketch challenge which Julie put up.
In addition, yesterday was valentines day. Unfortunately, Rex was working night shift and his romantic guesture was to tell me I ould buy myself some flowers :( Oh well I still got roses.

I woke up this morning with a really sore shoulder so I really hope that my old injury isn't flaring up. I really don't want another quartizone (sp?) injection, or even worse surjury. Worse still I was in too much pain to get more double sided tape so I can scrap!!!

Anyways I might work on the invites today. Hopefully my shoulder will ease up alot :)

We need your help

Okay Ladies, this is a call out to all scrappers

A wonderful lady called Sarah Goldman has a call out for nearly finished layouts for victims of the Victorian fires. In her own words

I feel for those families in the Victorian regions devastated by fire this week. I can’t help but feel frustrated at the limited amount we are able to do from here to help. I can donate money but I felt the need for something more tangible to be done for those families who have literally lost everything.

As scrappers, one of the most important things we deal with on a daily basis are memories. Family memories, memories of loved ones, memories of holidays, birthdays, christenings, bbq’s and days at the beach. These families in Victoria have got no tangible evidence of their lives left. No family photos. No happy snaps. You can replace a fridge, but you can’t replace years of momentos.

In order to help out these family begin to put their lives back together I have started a scrapbooking plan - called “MEMORY GIFTS”.

Quite simply, I ask each and every one of you who read this blog to donate a 12 x 12inch almost completed scrapbook LO to the “Memory Gifts” program. Each page will be sent to me. I will collect them and bind them, then hand them over to the head of Pastoral Care for the Victorian Catholic Education Office, Maria Kirkwood in Melbourne. It will not be just Catholic families benefiting, it will be anyone who needs it. The albums will then be distributed to the principals of the 4 schools that burned down, who will know exactly who to give them to.

Each family devastated by fire will be (in time) given album pages to help them begin their memories again. Those families can then approach their own families for copies of photos to put into the albums, or simply start putting in fresh memories.

If you think you can help, please lave me a comment and I will reply with my postal address so that you can send on your page. Any help you can give will be much appreciated.

I plan to have these albums finished by the 20th of March - that gives us a month to get cracking and create as many pages as we can!

Latest creations and weekend away

Wow, alot has happened since my last post so I might start at today and work backwards.

I spoke with the lawyer today and it looks all good with the house, so we are sending the contract in tomorrow!! Very exciting!

IO got home from Bourke in a very motivated mood, and have finished 3 Layouts tonight.This one was for the Out of the hat challenge, to use red and purple, metal (there are staples holding the ribbon) and paint.

This was for a new challenge site I found based around my favourite books, the Twilight series, called The Twilight Challenge. The challenge was to scrap about your first car.

Finally, this one was for Puzzle Sketches, a new favourite of mine.

In other news, I won the Challnge Champion prize at Scrap Therapy again!!! So I get to choose another DTer to make me a LO!! Now to choose which one.

Rex and I went to Top Gear in Sydney on the weekend and had a great time. We flew to Sydney from Dubbo, which was a much better idea than driving. Unfortunately when we caught the train to Lidcome, we discovered Sydney can't cope when the heat gets over 30 degrees. We couldn't believe it, most of the trains weren't running and those that did were soooooooo slow!!! And Hot!!!

Finally got to the motel and it was a nightmare. The airconditioner and lights weren't working, and on the Sunday while we were out, the cleaners left the door open all day!!!!!!!!! Not happy Jan.

Dreams

I have decided dreams are the nemisis of every bride to be. It is very rude to be woken up by any dream that depicts your wedding day running anything less than smoothly. I have had a few, complete chaos, dress not showing u[, that kind of thing. But this mornings was by far the worst.

I arrived at the church early, by myself (sorry Monique and Kylie!) and thought I'd see what was happening inside. I went in to be socialable, only to find my Dad trying to be the centre of attention, spouting off how it was his birthday and about how dood he is. I get upset, firstly because he wasn't invited, and then with his behaviour. I asked him and Liz to leave and they decide to pull and practical joke???????? I get really upset cause they won't leave, walk out and just wish Rex or the girls were there. Thankfully they come, just as I'm waking up.

Weird!! I hope I get some better dreams soon, like costs dropping!!!!!

Weddings all around

Wow, what a busy weekend we had.

Phils wedding was a fantastic catch up with Shell, and Matt and Aly. Not to mention meeting my nephew, Thomas for the very first time!! He was soooooo cute. Unfortunately I have no photos of him at the moment, cause I was too busy cuddling to take photos :)

So we got to Orange on Thursday, and managed to get a cit of shopping in. Friday was helping Phil organise for the wedding as well as more shopping a a trip to see Ruth, my doctor. Unfortunately I had to go for a blood test, cause I've been really tired lately, so tired even scrapping isn't as appealing!!! Which is why I know its bad. Unfortunately my blood clotted in one of the tubes (WTF!! whose blood does that!!), so I needed to go back. Any hows still waiting for the results of that.

Saturday was the big day. My car featured in the Bridal party, so I now know how to attach ribbons to the cars for my wedding (thanks Phil). I also helped him organising cakes and flowers, including delivering the flowers to the bride. They where soo pretty, and were still looking good buy the end of the night.

We got him ready and after a small glass of french champagne (thanks Shell!! Do we get some at my wedding too??) we were off. The ceremony was very much Phil and Sal, and I did the reading. It was the one verse in the bible I'm determined not to have - 1 Corinthians 13!! Surely theres got to be other readings from the bible!! We sang and laughed, and admired Phobea the flowergirl who was in her element.

Afterwoods, we organised the afternoon tea, which was a great chance to catch up. I knew quite a lot of people, knowing most of Phil's friends. Photos went pretty well and before we knew it, the Bride and groom were wisked away to be photographed some more.

I left everyone at this stage and checked Rex and I and the happy couple into our respective rooms. All I remember by this stage was my shoes were killing me!!! So I chilled for a bit, until people started showing up.

The reception went well, however was very much winged. Rex ended up the MC and Phil didn't give us much warning for any of the major events!! But aside that the meal was great the room was lovely and most importantly Phil and Sal had a great time.

There was only one downer about the whole day and that was our father. You'd think he'd be civil for one day, but no. He ignored me (which really was a blessing), but couldn't even say goodbye to Phil and Sal when he left. It was also clear that he has been talking crap as per usual to Alan and Denise, after Alan had a few words to me about being nicer to him!! Well maybe when he stops being an arogant arsehole I will!!! Is it too much for him to consider someone other that himself!!

I'll stop there, I didn't want this to become a rant about him.

Busy weeks

Wow, it has been absolutely flat out. we had out engagement party which was fantastic. Thank you to everyone for your fantastic gifts - they even fit into the unit. As promised here are some photos (especially for you Maria!!)

We did have some very sad news, as Gran passed away last Thursday with the funeral on Monday. Unfortunately this was made even worse after I had a really bad fight with Dad (surely I'm not as terrible a daughter as he believes????)

Lastly as of the 5th Jan, I'm going to be the new Weight Watchers leader in Cobar :eek: It should be good, and keep me busy now I only have to go to Scouts once a week!!!

Anyways only 2 days left of school and I'm on 7 weeks holidays!! YAY!!! I'm soo ready for them.

Well its been flat out here, getting organised for Christmas. I was in Dubbo o Wednesday for a scan (showed that everything was fine :) ) so did most of my Christmas shopping then. Just got to get through the last couple of weeks of school and Scouts and I'll be right.

My big news is that starting in January, I'm going to be the new Weight Watchers leader for Cobar. I'm slowly learning the ropes, so hopefully by the time I'm doing it all it will go smoothly.

I just have a few LO's to share, cause I still haven't packed for the engagement party this weekend :eek:

Bored..... but not in Bourke

Nope, I'm in Cobar but still bored. Why is it when I'm at school all the kids I'm seeing decide to be away???? Surely I'm not that bad.

Anyways, not much has been happening, Rex and I just spent a very lazy weekend and achieved nothing which was great. the most exciting thing I did was chase Sunny all over the naighbourhood. She got out 4 times in 4 days, and we are getting desperate. Any ideas to keep her in the yard????

I'm still hanging out at Scrap Therapy, and am hoping to go home to an order full of American Crafts goodies which are all 20% off at the moment. The details for the retreat in May have also been announced. I'm going, even though it will cost a fortune in flights :) I've been doing some of the challenges, and some OTP (I can't show them yet cause they are pressies!!!) Blind Scrap with Julie

Holidays

I know I've been a very bad blogger, but its holidays :)

I've been flat out, in Sydney and Canberra.

I started out on the first Saturday, driving the never-ending trip to Sydney and staying with Monique. After a slight confusion (always check your buzzer works :) ) Kylie, Monique and I went the biggest bridal fair on the North Shore. Unfortunately it made the Dubbo one look good. They didn't even have a fashion parade :(.

So that was a dud, but Mum and I spent the next couple of days combing the Central Coast in the hope of finding a wedding dress. I found one at Erina which I fell in love with and was ready to buy. Last Wednesday, Mum and I met up with Monique in Parramatta to try on even more dresses. I am happy to say, that I found my dress, and I have since ordered it. No sneek peeks though, I really don't want Rex finding it. :)

I ended up in Canberra, looking for Bridesmaid dresses and spending some time with my darling brother, Phil. It was a great time and I even got to go to Floriade.

An interesting weekend

Well we all survived!!! I, along with 2 other leaders and 2 parents took 28 Cubs and Scouts to Orange for the Centerary of Scout camp for the Golden West Region. It was full of adventures with a bus that was about 100 years old and was leaking and in dire need of retirement. It was pouring (surprise surprise) in Orange Friday night, and by the time we arrived at about 6.30pm our campsite was flooded. Luckily for us the bunkhouses were free, so we bundled the girls into one and the boys into another. Good thing we were told there would be mud activities, each venture to the dining hall and toilets were filled with the prospect of wearing all the mud!!

I won't comment on the Cubs, as we split for most of the camp but on a whole the Scouts did really well. We lost things and each other and us leaders were driven mad by all the questions, but in the end all the Scouts had fun. They had a go building rope bridges, and met the Rovers close up on the Bucking bull. They got to canoe, and try archery, and not to mention the pinicle, a flying fox!!! The obstacle course was about the only place where there was no mud!

We also had one Scout with sprained toes, and a Cub spent the best part of Sunday at hospital with a wicked splinter (sisters mind you!). One Leader was sent to hospital with a suspected stroke, but luckily was back with us for the long bus ride home. The only really bad bit was an incident with some boys in Dubbo that wanted to fight the Scouts. Thankfully all the leaders were able to get the Cubs and Scouts back onto the bus safely, so no one was hurt.

I got to see alot of leaders and rovers that I knew from Orange. one of my ex-scouts is now a Rover, and unfortunately is now taller than me. I was also lucky enough, as an ex-rover to participate in the investiture os a Rover Squire from the Macquarie Rover Crew. Only Scouts who have been invested as Rovers can attend Rover investitures, so it was lovely to be invited along. I also caught up with Linda, who I've know my entire Scouting life, which was awesome, it seems I'm not the only person roped back into being a leader.

We got home last night at about 9pm, tired and dirty and overall very excited by our first regional camp as a group. I have about 300 photos so will share when I get them off the camera. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I can't wait till the next one.

Sunny and Josie are great, Sunny's even calming doen enough to be inside!! Anyways, my big news is that I just bought a Nikon D60 DSLR camera, and I love it!!!! Idiot Dogs!!!

Well the title says it all, our dog is an idiot!! Well not really. Yesterday morning I had to come home to grab something for work I'd forgotten and guess who's sitting in the driveway. Yep, you guessed it, Sunny. She had gotten out of the backyard and I think wasn't sure where else to go. So she got chained up for the day.

Anyways soom to later in the day when I got home form work. We decided to let her off, since both Rex and I were home. We thought we had fixed the holes so weren't to concerned. Next thing we know there is a knock on the door. Some guy found Sunny, just out the front. Ohhh I wasn't happy!! To top it off, Sunny kept me up all night barking at some strays running in our street.

So today I'm tired and cranky, only to come home to Rex telling me she got out AGAIN!!! This time the pound got her and called us to pick her up. Shes now on the chain most of the time, until we can dog proof the yard!!! Silly Dog!!!!

Anyways I have some LO's form the Cybercrop last weekend at Scrap Therapy.

Some good news

Rex finally got a job driving trucks at CSA mine, which is the one he has been based at. It means he'll now be on shift, 4 on 4 off which will take some getting used to for both of us, but will also be making a lot more money for our wedding and saving for a house. I'm back at work and uni, with it going to be a busy term for both.
I've done a bit of scrapping the last week

This LO was for the July write stuff challenge at Scrap Therapy. Our challenge was to use a journalling box at least 4x4 inches. Its a photo of mygrandparents on their wedding day, and I must say I've always loved this picture.

This Lo was for the Scrap Therapy Make Believe Masters. The challenge was to scrap what you have learnt form scrapping.

Finally my little Brother has finally set a wedding date so I'm going to be madly making his invitations, if he rings me :)

Been Busy

Now before Phil says anything, we have been very busy!!!! The last 3 weeks of term, I spent more time in Dubbo than Cobar :( On the bright side I have managed some wedding planning, and even got to try on dresses with one of my Bridesmaids, Kylie. So far we have booked the church and I'm booking the reception tomorrow so hopefully by tomorrow night we will have a date. Most of you have probably already heard, but Rex and I are getting married. I think I'm still floating around up in the sky:)

For those who haven't heard the story here it is. Rex had been in Griffith visiting family all weekend, so he got home we had dinner etc and after I was lying on thebed and he was on the ground next to me talking. He said he bought me a present for ditching me for the weekend and when I opened it, it was a ring! I'm not very often speechless, but then I was. He did have to tell me it was an engagement ring! It was definatly unexpected!!

Sunny!!!!

She made it home safely after a rocky start (she threw up driving across Orange :( ) But now she has settled in and is making friends with all the neighbourhood dogs.

We had a great time last weekend catching up with my family at Matt and Aly's wedding. It was a very long trip, 9 hours each way, but worth it.

Not much else is happening, I'm back to the travelling around the region this week doing Cobar/Bourke/Dubbo in a day. I'm really not looking forward to it. Work is going well for both of us, well except Rex's boss but you all know about that. I've been busy scrapping both at Scrap Therapy as usual and Nuts 4 Digi which is the Digital site I've been on.

Its been too long

I know Phil! I here you!1 I've been really slack as my darling brother keeps reminding me.

Any way here's my holiday run down.

I ditched Rex on the first Wednesday to drive to Sydney to see matchbox 20. Hathor and I were really proud we may have gove over the Harbour bridge, but we did find our way back :) Matchbox 20 were awesome, very much worth the money. We all had a ball, drinking slightly too much (Hathor!!!) especially when not eating. There are photos going up slowly on photobucket which attest to this!!

From there I went on too Cowra to visit my grandparents. It was good being back in the thriving metropolis of Cowra, they even have a Coles now!! They leave Cobar for dead. I managed to clean out the study and left most of the crafty stuff behind (Rex is very proud)

THen I visited my mum in Orange where I adopted a puppy from the RSPCA. She is a little Jack Russell xTerrier and shes gorgeous. Dad picked her up today from the vets so I get to bring her home this weekend :) It was also great to fit in some shopping and visiting a heap of friends.

Uni

Well it had to happen, uni has gone back and I'm already thinking WHY!!!! I'm meant to be studying, but there are a thousand other things I'd prefer to be doing like srapping, reading, watching a movie, cleaning....

Josie is fast becoming a hunter. Rex and I finally decided to let her outside and she rewarded us by bringing us catapillars! Still alive to. At least she has finally forgiven us for moving and is back to her old self.

Not much else is happening, Scouts is steaming along with more kids each week. Work for both of us has been hectic as usual.

Next weekend we are going to the zoo for my birhday (I feel like a big kid) and I get to see mum and dad for dinner which should be good.

Anyways back to the studying.....

Holidays and moving and more

Hey, well we are finally back. In the last few weeks we have toured Victoria and moved into a new place.

Victoria was great, Rex loved Spamalot, it was very funny and true to Monty Python. I got to do heaps of shoppping!!! Only downside was in Melbourne we stayed at a swanky place on Flinders St and nothing seemed to go right. We ended up in a room with single beds, a woman stole my suitcase (I did get it back thankfully) and the valet parking told me they gave my car keys to 'the owner'. Talk about stressed out!!! And all we got out of it was a small bottle of wine.

After that the holiday did improve, we stayed with Rex's Aunt and Uncle in Frankston, visited Rex's friends, stayed with Phil and Sal and had a tour of HMAS Cerberus, were Phil is based at the moment.

From there we moved up to Wangaratta. It was a lovely place and we stayed a couple of night there, chilling out at the pool. While we were there we visited the Brown Brothers and Sam Miranda wineries, picing up some great wine. We also visited a Brewery, the Beechworth Bakery and the Miliwa Cheese factory. YUM!!!!

After this we went to Wagga and visited John and Cath. I completed the Stay upright motorbike course, while Rex chilled out.

All in all, aside from some issues at the beginning, we had a great holiday. There will be photos, when I get too it.

Once we got back we had to move into the one bedroom unit. Its been a tight fit, but most of it has fit in. Even Josie is starting to like the place. Theres just no where to hide!!

Thats, thankfully most of the news. Only one last thing.... I finally got my Bike Learners!!!!!

Well I hope Christmas was good for everyone. I was spoilt rotten, getting 3 seasons of house, jewellery, gift vouchers and heaps of scrapping stuff.

Anyways in my last post I said I was starting back at weight watchers and I kind of have. Now I am starting to record what I eat etc here form today!

Well Christmas is almost upon us. School ius finished and I'm madly cleaning the house!! We're having Christmas a bit late this year, everyone is coming for Saturday since Rex has to work all but Chrissy day.

We had a bit of news the other day. Once we get back from Melbourse, we have to move into a little 1-bedroom flat. The Teacher housing decided that it it perfectly fine to kick us out of our house. But I won't get into a rant. I was upset at first, particularly when I found out other couples got a 2 bedroom unit, but at least they can't move us now.

I've also decided its about time to get this excess weight off. I want to get back into my bikini sometime this summer. My starting weight is 77.9kgs and I'm hoping to lose about 10 kgs. I'm going to track my food and exercise here for the world to read. Seems silly starting Christmas week but i've put it off long enough!!

Anyways have a great Christmas and I hope Santa is good to you!!!

Well all around Cobar Christmas is appearing. Rex and I went to Griffith last weekend to do our Chrissy shopping and I'm pleased to say we just about finished it. I've also been madly making Christmas cards, I have to justify all the Chrissy PP I've bought!!!

THis weekend I'm flying back to Sydney for a week. Before that though, Scrap Therapy is having their December Cybercrop so hopefully I'll get some scrapping done.

I have also discovered the joys of Facebook. Come on over and add me!!!!

So only 2 a bit weeks left till holidays! Not that I'm counting or anything :)

Well I'm back fro the big smoke and I must say it was a very eventful trip. I left here very early on Tuesday, with a 2 hour flight. I arrived late, I think the organiszers thought I could teleport from the airport to the department building on Oxford St. The course was okay on the first day, however once we went to book into the motel we found out there was no booking :( Where were we going to stay???? Luckily a room became available, a family room which we thought would be fine.

But no, the room smelled really badly of mould although we could see any. Also when we went to open up the "windows" we discovered they were just fluorescent lights with blinds over them. What a rip off. Now adding to breakfast taking forever both mornings, this motel did not sit too well with us. When we found out even the manager called it the dungeon we knew it couldn't get much worse.

Anyways we survived for a trip to the Westfield at Bondi junction, very cool btw. Didn't get to buy much though since I was flying.

Finally the course finished, and I got back to Dubbo. Rex had to pick me up there cause there were no flights back home till Sunday. So yesterday we started Chrissy shopping and had a lazy day in Dubbo. I was very excited cause when I got home I had a parcel full of Chrissy goodies form Scrap Therapy so I can now make some very cool Chrissy cards.

Well I've just completed my LO for round 4 of scrapping wiht the stars and its startring none other the Josie. I've also ventured into the world of handmade cards and am loving it. Its a great time waster!!!

Not much else is happening, I'm back at work tomorrow to see what kind of mess i walk into. At least my teeth are less painful now.

Ouch!!

Well this week has been eventful for me. On Sunday I gave my first ever kids talk at church. Despite them looking terrified I was assured I did well.

Then came Monday. Dreaded Monday. I had all 4 wisdom teeth taken out in Orange. And yes, they did hurt... once the anesthetic wore off on Tuesday. I was informed I did really well, however that didn't make me stop feeling dizzy and nauseous on Tuesday. Since then as long as I keep on the pain killers I've been okay. I am soooo sick of weetbix and pasta, however discovered the hard way today on the trip home that it is still too sore for real food.

Any ways, Rex is at poker and I'm home alone recuperating. Next week I'm off to Sydney to learn how to help kids who are doing drugs.

Well the cybercrop is over and done with so I thought I'd share some of my LO's from the weekend. I completed the 2nd round of scrapping with the stars:Challenge one - Scrap a LO using contrasting colours

Challenge 2: Scrap a monochromatic LO

I also joined in some very cool cyber games, coming close to winning 20 questions!!
In other news, Rex is going well, Josie has been venturing outside much to my horror as it is at these times that Rex reminds me that she could run off :( Life other thanthat has been quiet, and as I'm getting my wisdom teeth out on Monday its likely to stay that way!

Yes you heard it here! Its cybercrop time over at the best scrapping website on the net - Scrap Therapy. Everyone is madly scrapping up a storm.

In home news, Our newly formed scout group, hopefully to be called 1st Cobar Scout Group is going great. We have a good group of Cubs and Scouts eager to learn and interest in Joeys as well.

My aim is to update this weekly so we'll see how we go!
